The short version
- You can use the game free of charge, on any device you own.
- Adverts pay for the game. There is nothing to buy.
- Do not try to break, copy or resell the app.
- The puzzles, artwork and code belong to us. Words you type stay yours.
- The game is provided as-is. We cannot promise it will never have a bug.
1. Agreeing to these terms
By installing or playing WordHunt: Search & Challenge, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please uninstall the app. There is no account to close, because there is no account.
These terms cover the Android app WordHunt: Search & Challenge, published on Google Play by Little Lotus Studio, and this website.
2. Your licence to use the app
We give you a personal, non-exclusive licence to install and play WordHunt on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. The licence lasts as long as you keep the app installed and follow these terms.
The licence does not transfer ownership of anything. You may not sell, rent or sub-license the app.
3. Acceptable use
Please do not:
- copy, modify, translate or create another app based on this one;
- reverse engineer, decompile or extract the source code, except where the law expressly allows it;
- remove or hide the adverts, or interfere with how they are served;
- use automated tools, modified builds or exploits to change your progress, coins or achievements;
- redistribute the app, whether free or for payment, anywhere other than Google Play;
- use Create mode to build puzzles containing unlawful, hateful or abusive content and share them with other people.
If you break these rules we may stop supporting your use of the app. Since there is no account, that is largely a practical limit rather than a technical one — but it is still a condition of your licence.
4. The game is free, and adverts pay for it
WordHunt costs nothing. It contains no in-app purchases, no subscriptions and no paid content. All 200 levels and all 6 modes are available to every player from the first launch.
Advertising, served through Google AdMob, is what pays for building and running the game. Accepting that adverts will appear is part of accepting these terms. What data the adverts involve is set out in the privacy policy.
Coins are an in-game token with no monetary value. They cannot be bought, sold, exchanged or transferred, and they carry no value outside the game.
5. Puzzles you create and share
Words you type into Create mode remain yours. We do not receive them: a shared puzzle is encoded entirely inside the share code, which travels through whichever messaging app you choose, not through us.
Because of that, we cannot see, moderate or withdraw a puzzle you have shared. You are responsible for what you put in a puzzle and who you send it to.
6. Who owns what
The app’s code, the 200 hand-built levels, the word lists, the artwork, the sounds, the name WordHunt: Search & Challenge and the design of this website belong to Little Lotus Studio and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property law. Nothing in these terms gives you a right to reuse them.
Individual English words, and the fact that a word appears in a puzzle, are of course not owned by anyone.

7. No warranty
WordHunt is provided as-is and as-available. We have built it carefully, but we do not promise that it will always be available, that it will run on every device, that it will be free of bugs, or that a particular feature will stay the same.
In particular, and because progress is stored only on your device: we do not promise that your progress will survive uninstalling the app, clearing its storage, a device fault or a move to a new phone. There is no backup, and no way for us to restore one.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app, including lost progress, lost time or loss of data. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the amount you have paid for the app, which is nothing.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that the law does not permit to be limited. If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights.
9. Changes to the app and to these terms
We may update the app, add or remove features, or stop publishing it. We may also change these terms. If we do, the date at the top of this page changes, and the new version applies from the moment it is published here. Continuing to play after that means you accept the new version.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes will be heard by the courts of India. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the protection of any mandatory consumer law of the country you live in.
PLACEHOLDER — confirm the governing law and forum with a qualified lawyer before launch, and set SITE_CONFIG.governingLaw accordingly.
11. If part of these terms cannot be enforced
If a court decides that any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest of them still apply.
