WordHunt support
Most WordHunt problems come down to five causes: progress lost because it is stored only on your device, an advert that will not close, a share code broken in transit, an install blocked by an Android version below 7.0, or text set too small. Fixes for all five are below.
Fixes for the things that go wrong
Each answer is the complete fix, not a first step. If one of these does not resolve it, get in touch and include your device model and Android version.
My progress disappeared. Can I get it back?
An ad is stuck on screen or will not close.
A share code from a friend will not open.
How do I change my ads consent choice?
The game will not install from the Play Store.
The text is too small to read comfortably.
What to include in a support message
WordHunt has no account to look you up by, and a crash report carries no note of what you were trying to do, so a useful message has to carry its own context.
- Your device model and Android version, from Settings → About phone.
- Which mode you were in: Adventure, Daily Hunt, Quick Play, Mystery, Create or Friends.
- What you expected to happen, and what happened instead.
- Whether it happens every time or only occasionally.
- A screenshot, if the problem is something you can see.
A note on lost progress: there is genuinely no way to recover it. WordHunt has no account system and no server of its own, so your progress is never uploaded anywhere — the same design decision that protects your privacy also means there is no backup. How WordHunt handles data.
Get in touch
Questions, bug reports and anything else about the game go to the same address. Replies come from a person, and there is no ticket system to navigate.
You can also leave a review or reply to one on the Google Play listing.
